For example, new Dev or staging environment using blobs and database from integration environment <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If for some reason blobs are not copied properly then we will have new environment with missing images and it is very hard to workout which blobs are missing and how many blob folders, we supposed to have in blobs folder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When we hover over on Media assert in Admin view it gives very useful information such as \u201ccontent id\u201d and \u201cContent Type\u201d.&nbsp; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"567\" height=\"572\" src=\"http:\/\/localhost:801\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/missing-blobs.png\" loading=\"lazy\" alt=\"Investigating missing blobs using Sql\" class=\"wp-image-29\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.naveedulhaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/missing-blobs.png 567w, https:\/\/www.naveedulhaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/missing-blobs-150x150.png 150w, https:\/\/www.naveedulhaq.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/05\/missing-blobs-297x300.png 297w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 567px) 100vw, 567px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we have media asset\u2019s \u201ccontent Id\u201d but each blob is stored in Physical directory using \u201cContentGuid\u201d. The folder names in blobs folder are actually \u201cContentGuid\u201ds of media assets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get Content Type ID<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>We can run following sql against cms database. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>Select pkID from tblContentType \nWhere\nName like '%ImageFile%' -- ContentType Name\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get total number of blobs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Now we have ContentTypeID. We can use it to get total number of blobs and blob folders<\/p>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>SELECT count(fkParentID)\nFROM &#91;tblContent]\nwhere\nfkContentTypeID = 11 \u2013 ContentTypeId\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Get total number of blob folders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-code\"><code>SELECT count(distinct fkParentID)\nFROM &#91;tblContent]\nwhere\nfkContentTypeID = 11 -- ContentTypeId\n<\/code><\/pre>\n\n\n\n<p>We can compare number of folders on physical location with\nnumbers from above query.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>we often need to use existing database and blobs to create new environment.
